2020 Screen Nation Awards and Digital is Media Awards goes digital

2020 marks a 15th-year anniversary for Screen Nation awards and a 6th-year anniversary for Digital is Media Awards. Due to Covid-19, hosts, nominees and guest presenters are working to deliver both award ceremonies in an exciting new virtual format.

Screen Nation Film & TV Awards is known for acknowledging Black British screen excellence. The ceremony will stream online on YouTube Live and the event can also be viewed across Screen Nation social media and partner platforms on Sunday 5th July 2020.

Digital is Media Awards (DMA) is expected to take place on Sunday 28th June 2020. Hosting this year’s Digital is Media ceremony is film actor Letitia Hector, who has starred in Venus vs. Mars, Obsession: Dark Desires and The Intent.


The host for the Film & TV Awards ceremony has not been revealed, but it is expected to be a major social media influencer. Joining these two online presentations will be the top Black British film, TV & digital media scene, alongside celebrities and influencers from social media, sport, business and more.

Charles Thompson MBE, independent film producer, Founder & CEO of Screen Nation said:


"These first-ever virtual Screen Nation Awards recognise the success of Black Britons within the film, TV and digital media industries and rewards their dynamic work across all 3 screens and many social media platforms."


Full details of the 2020 categories and nominations to be voted by both the public and industry juries, are to be announced across social media over this weekend of 30-31 May.
