Emma Raducanu is making history as she becomes the youngest British tennis star to set foot in the US Open semi-finals in the Open era.

After beating Switzerland's Belinda Bencic in the quarter-finals, 6-3, 6-4, this means the 18-year old will now be competing in the final four.

Raducanu who is a part of the LTA (Lawn Tennis Association) Pro-Scholarship programme has become the third woman outside of the top 100 to make the final four at Flushing Meadows, alongside Billie Jean King and Kim Clijsters.

Despite the success the 18-year old has achieved, she was very surprised she had got this far as she admitted: "I didn't expect to be here at all. My flights were booked at the end of qualifying, so it's a nice problem to have."

Raducanu will either be facing Karolina Pliskova or Maria Sakkari in the semi-final.
