Mo Gilligan’s comedy lockdown show, All Star Happy Hour

British stand-up comedian Mo Gilligan, has launched a new entertainment programme 'All Star Happy Hour' on Channel 4. Connecting viewers to his home, by hosting quizzes and games where members of the public go head to head with famous faces to win prizes.

Known for his 'Mo Gilligan's Lateish Show' on Channel 4. All Star Happy Hour, has so far featured celebrities including Sharon Osbourne, footballer Jesse Lingard and singer Shaggy.

In an interview with British Comedy Guide, Mo said, “I want the show to boost morale for an hour, ideally take you away from the news you hear every single day - no lockdown, no coronavirus. Hopefully I can bring good vibes to everyone's working week”.

This comedy show comes to TV, after Mo went viral for his #QuarantineGames on Instagram. Where his followers participated in games to win prizes from his own home, such as an unopened PlayStation and perfume.

The award-winning comedian added, “People seemed to like it, so I upped the levels, bought some stuff online and it kept growing. I wanted to give away a really cool prize so I found this wheel online that you could spin, bought it... and the rest is history!”.

The first episode of All Star Happy Hour was released this week. Be sure to catch the four-part show on Mondays, Channel 4 at 10pm.
